i just saw some pics of the new home side of cardinal stadium and the new athletic complex in the Cardinal Cadence magazine.  very impressive!  8)

My copy of the Cardinal Cadence hasn't arrived in the mail yet.  When did you get your copy?  The Lamar website has some articles from the new edition but no pictures of the stadium online.  You have a scanner?  Show us the pictures!!

Thanks BigRedFan.  Very nice.  Can't wait to until they release all the drawings to the public.  If they plan to start renovations this summer then we should see all the drawings soon.

Glad, someone finally posted the pictures I saw of Cardinal Stadium and the renovated field house.

These are the two pictures I saw about two months ago. Would love to see pictures from the inside the field house on to the field and stadium seating.

they told us at the last cardinal club meeting that they plan on having a reception in june for the new football coach.they would also unviel the plans for cardinal stadium at this reception.

I received my Cardinal Cadence in the mail today.  I found the history of Lamar football interesting.  First football game was in 1923.  Ranked #1 in the College Division in 1967.  Averaged 16,380 per game in 1979 (the highest ever for Lamar).  Beat Baylor in 1981.  All downhill after that until this year.

Here is some additional work Leo A. Daly did for Lamar State College-Orange. I've been inside the facility and it serves their purpose very well. It states the building is 43,000 SF and it is HUGE. If the field house is really 46,000 SF it is going to be totally awesome.

Looking at that building and the drawing of the athletic complex, I bet the athletic complex will take up the whole south endzone and then some.  I can't wait to see how the complex will look overlooking the field with VIP suites.

I think there needs to be a committee formed to make sure you maintain the attendance after the fanfare 7 newness dies down.

Probably not, I hear they are talking about naming rights for just about everything. The meeting rooms, the training and conditioning facility, the name of the facility itself and even the name of the stadium.

Personally, I hope they will honor the late AD in some way by keeping his name affiliated with the field house.
