Jay Bruce watch...

Recommended Posts

Ok, Sportscenter is all over Jay Bruce right now, it's very good. How did Westbrook ever lose a game with Bruce and all those other stars?

First time I seen Jay in person on the field, he was 15 in the summer. We had a pretty decent team in Babe Ruth and was heading to the World Series. Good friend of mine Norm Townsend had a team in Beaumont and we needed a scrimmage game before we took off. Our pitching staff included Clay Buchholz and Alan Harrington, they were a pretty good themselves but I remember this kid who had the prettiest swing from the left side I've seen in many moons.

Me and the other coaches after the game went over to Norm's dugout and seeked out the kid with the swing. Didn't know his name at the time but Norm was pretty proud of him and introduced him to us, we knew something was special about him.

a picture tells a thousand words.  you can tell he's excited about being there... of course, he is standing between two guys with a combined 852 career major league homers.

thats exactly what i was going to say. i would be at a loss for words..

Man, how great is this.  A potential GREAT career just starting with a bang, chatting in the outfield with at least one future hall of famer, turning and looking into the stands at 20,000+ fans that love you - it just doesn't get much better than this!

    • In a video released Monday, Raja Cholan, a top official at the U.S. National Library of Medicine under the NIH, admitted to an undercover OMG operative he doubts jab efficacy and hasn’t “gotten the latest COVID shots and I’m not going to.”  “I PROBABLY SHOULDN’T BE SAYING THIS OUT LOUD;” Chief Confesses COVID Health Initiatives Were "COMPLETELY MADE UP”. "I don’t even know if these vaccines stop you from getting COVID. They don’t.” Adds, "We're all going to learn [about vaccine safety] when it's too late," as Pfizer & Moderna "are just getting a bunch of money… Vaccines were accelerated through the approval.” ‘We fly under the radar of being scrutinized…I don't think I have too much to worry about.’ Trump victory “worse for the NIH.” “It would be better for a Democrat to be in office.” WOW!!!!
    • The same reason you worry about Trump more than anything else. Why do trolls like yourself start threads like your Soros hedge fund thread and you never come back to…..just bait. Newsom might make a run for president in 2028. People need to know about his policies. You don’t think that’s important?
    • I like Newton’s chances here. I’ve watched  videos of Daingerfield what few I could get. Their big Qb scares me a little he looks Ike a good athlete. I think for a change Newton has a little more speed than the Tigers. That Samuel kid for Newton can move., and it goes without saying about Porter. That Hunter kid ain’t bad either. They scared me to death with their pass defense against Edgewood until I saw the video. That Qb for Edgewood can put it on a dime. And, his receivers could catch it. I’m pumped; this is the most fun time of the year for me. Go Eagles.🦅 I have to add this though. I watched the State game between the tigers and Yoe in 2010. Those guys looked like grown men playing as opposed to kids now a days who look like boys.😂 that was a heck of a good game.
