44stack Posted June 23, 2008 Report Posted June 23, 2008 I just spoke the truth. Didn't slander anybody. Truth is that most school boards are comprised of people who have no experience in education. I'll be the first to say that there are good board members out there but very few.

Guest etbu Posted June 23, 2008 Report Posted June 23, 2008 Most school board members are small people with big egos. Rarely do you find one that is one the school board for the right reasons. Education is the only industry where someone can reach the pinnacle and have to answer to 7 people who may have no education (most of the time that is the case), no experience in education (all the time) and no business on the board. There should be some requirement besides being able to breathe. Ten-fo on this one stack and to often it is about egos. I went to a meeting a couple years ago and a boardmember was racking on the kids that flunked the taks. Twenty minutes passed out the budge and could not read it only to make himself look like a fool.
44stack Posted June 25, 2008 Report Posted June 25, 2008 If you board members will look at my posts you'll find where I never called anyone a dummy. I also haven't called out any names or schools. I don't have any business on the board of Motiva or Goodyear because I have no experience or education in those fields. Why should the field of education be any different.
