LamarStatesports Posted May 30, 2008 Report Posted May 30, 2008 Lamar State College-Port Arthur head softball coach Vance Edwards acquired offensive and defensive standouts for his 2008-09 team Friday, when Warren High School third baseman Amber Holland and shortstop Stormy Morris signed letters of intent to play for the Seahawks in the 2008-09 season. Holland, the District 22-2A Offensive Player of the Year, and Morris, the district’s Co-Defensive Player of the Year, led Warren to a 12-1 record and a district championship this year. In 2007, Morris was the district Offensive Player of the Year, while Holland was a first team all-district selection.
