It is hard to say who the #2 pitcher would be for Pleasant Grove. Sophomore Jon Phillips came in to finish the regional final game against PIttsburg. The Hawks have outscored their playoff opponets 30-3. Pleasant Grove is a good defensive team led by Catcher Michael Morriss. Pleasant Grove defeated district rival Pittsburg in the Regional Final game. This is the third year in a row that a 3A team from Texarkana has made it to the state playoffs (Liberty-Eylau made it in '06 and '07). Game 2: SNYDER VS. Four pitchers can be effective for them - Chris Thomison, Garret Carey, Brett Higginbotham, and Catcher John Cannon. Hutto came out of 18-3A which may have been the toughest district this year with four of the teams in the Top 20 at some point this year. I found that info off of 3Abaseball.com and thought it was quite interesting, don't know of another site that focuses on one class like they do.
