Guest coachacola Posted June 4, 2008 Report Posted June 4, 2008 Lamar fans and supporters are invited to meet new head football coach Ray Woodard as part of the LU Cardinal Club's annual membership drive kick-off party, Tuesday, June 17 at the Poblano Grill in Beaumont. Woodard will be among a host of Lamar coaches, staff and university administrators in attendance. The event will run from 5:30-8 p.m. Poblano Grill is located at 3350 Dowlen Road in Beaumont. For more information contact the LU Athletic Development Office at 409-880-2319. I'm assuming that's when we'll also see all the plans for the renovations of Cardinal Stadium and the new athletic complex too.
Guest abovetherim Posted June 4, 2008 Report Posted June 4, 2008 Should be a grand event! Edit: Sorry about that comment Coop. I think it will be an event those who have questions about Lamar University and the athletic department should not miss.
texasstud28 Posted June 7, 2008 Report Posted June 7, 2008 Man, it sucks for me, because I have class from 5:30p-9. But lucky for me, I know how to prioritize. I'll be at Poblano Grill.
Guest coachacola Posted June 8, 2008 Report Posted June 8, 2008 More from Bob West: If you would like to meet Lamar University’s new football coach, Ray Woodard, he’ll be at the Poblano Grill in Beaumont from 5:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 17 as part of the Cardinal Club’s annual membership drive kickoff-party. Basketball coach Steve Roccaforte will also be on hand to shake hands and talk with members and prospective members. Woodard, incidentally, says he expects to name two or three assistant coaches very soon after June 16. Roccaforte may also have an interesting announcement around that date. Any ideas on what Roccaforte will be announcing? Whole article: http://www.panews.com/sports/local_story_160195830.html?keyword=topstory
