Guest blade_65 Posted June 17, 2008 Report Posted June 17, 2008 1. WB 2. WO-S 3. Jasper 4. Kirbyville 5. Nederland 6. Central 7. PN-G 8. Kelly 9. Ozen 10. Memorial This one is hard because I threw all of the classifications in there. Beaumont people always leave off dayton dayton should be in the top 2 if not 1 and just because they moved districts doesnt mean their not SE texas IE Jasper moved to the north district. if kirbyville is in the ten then newton is there too 1. WB 2. Dayton 3. WO-S 4. Jasper 5. Nederland 6. Newton 7. kirbyville 8. PNG 9. Central 10. Kelly
BMTSoulja1 Posted June 17, 2008 Report Posted June 17, 2008 You're right. I did forget about Newton. What you really consider Dayton a part of SETX? I would consider them part of the houston area, just like BH. I would put Newton between WO-S and Jasper. I would leave Memorial.
AggiesAreWe Posted June 17, 2008 Report Posted June 17, 2008 I agree, if we are going to include Jasper, we need to include Dayton and Barbers Hill.

BUNA95 Posted June 17, 2008 Report Posted June 17, 2008 I love it, once again Buna get no R-E-S-P-E-C-T. This is in any sport. Not just football. On SETXSPORTS top 10 Buna did not make it untill the last weeks in baseball. We get no respect but thats ok. Just like the last two years we will show it on the field.
82 5A State Champs Posted June 17, 2008 Report Posted June 17, 2008 1) West Brook 2) Dayton 3) Nederland 4) WO-S 5) Newton 6) Kirbyville 7) PN-G 8) Central 9) Lumberton 10) Memorial
BMTSoulja1 Posted June 17, 2008 Report Posted June 17, 2008 LOL @ the mentality that SETX = Golden Triangle. This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up The Golden Triangle is an area of extreme Southeast Texas near the Louisiana border. The "triangle" is formed by Beaumont, Port Arthur, and Orange, which are the largest cities in the area. The "golden" refers to the wealth that came from the Spindletop oil strike near Beaumont in 1901. In an attempt to distance the area from the petrochemical industry, some area interests attempted to rename the Golden Triangle the "Triplex." This name change did not catch on, and area residents still refer to it as the Golden Triangle. Some residents of the Golden Triangle do not refer to the Greater Houston area as being part of Southeast Texas and place the western boundary of the region roughly at the Trinity River. The area holds the annual South Texas State Fair in Beaumont. If I'm not mistaken, Dayton and BH is on the Western side of the Trinity. It's good to see that I'm not the only one that may have been baffled by this.
BMTSoulja1 Posted June 17, 2008 Report Posted June 17, 2008 1) West Brook 2) Dayton 3) Nederland 4) WO-S 5) Newton 6) Kirbyville 7) PN-G 8) Central 9) Lumberton 10) Memorial Maaan, 82. We get no respect being way at the bottom like that! lol. Just remember this post after week 1. ;D

I think this ranking will probably come true.....especially after week's 0 and 1. LOL! (at least I stuck you guys in front of L-town)
Hotrodg Posted June 17, 2008 Report Posted June 17, 2008 I made a new thread for "setx borders" so this one could get back to top 10 lists...

LOL Would probably be a wise decision to include the districts that are involved with the "Golden Triangle" in the first round of the playoffs. Basically Dayton and Barbers Hill are in the greater Houston area, but are paired with the SE Texas region in the playoff system. Also..... Don't forget about Livingston, since they are now considered in the SE Texas district.
shorttexas1 Posted June 18, 2008 Report Posted June 18, 2008 Since Dayton is back to Htown this is my new rankings... But to all... Geographically Houston is part of SE Texas... WB WOS Ned Central Memorial PNG Newton Kirbyville Livinston Ozen Lumberton
TradinUp BH Posted June 18, 2008 Report Posted June 18, 2008 1. West Brook 2. Dayton 3. Central 4. WOS 5. Newton 6. Nederland 7. Ozen 8. PNG 9. Kirbyville 10. Jasper Ozen, Central, and Nederland in front of PNG for 08? Just remember how every body picked last year. Here's mine: 1. West Brook 2. WOS 3. Dayton 4. PNG 5. Nederland 6. Newton 7. Central/Memorial 8. Ozen 9. Jasper 10. Kirbyville/Buna

That would be those that do not own a computer or a high school diploma ;D ;D
BMTSoulja1 Posted June 18, 2008 Report Posted June 18, 2008 I'm sure the people that have not received their diplomas have common sense if not book sense. I'm sure that the few people that don't have a computer do have an encyclopedia set or a local library to gather information.
