Guest setxgal Posted June 18, 2008 Report Posted June 18, 2008 I talked to a recruiting guy at NCSA(national collegiate scouting association) today with my kids and I was wondering if I could get some information from others who have dealt with them, the type of experience you had, the results, etc. Of course, to listen to them, the do great work, but I would like some outside opinions. It is a big investment, and want to know if it is worth it.
soccermom Posted June 24, 2008 Report Posted June 24, 2008 My son is enrolled with NCSA. So far we have been very pleased. Since he signed up he has received numerous e-mails and mail from some of the colleges that were sent his profile. He will be a senior next year. Just today they posted his video on his profile. We believe that without the NCSA his chances were slim to none for him to be able to play soccer in college. So we decided that the money would be worth it. Of course there is no guarantee but based on the responses he has gotten so far we feel like his chances are pretty good. Most of the colleges that have contacted him are D2 schools. Based on the coaches that have contacted him they are unable to communicate directly (by phone) until after June 15th and he cannot officially visit until after his 1st day of his senior year. His academics are very good which a lot of the coaches are impressed with as well. I think the most important part of the NCSA being involved is the exposure. They communicate almost daily with him - keeping him organized and focused on what the next steps are - what questions to ask prospective coaches - making sure he is keeping up communications, etc. Hope this helps.
