AllstarDad8 Posted June 20, 2008 Report Posted June 20, 2008 Last year Buna was the team to beat obviously! Will it be the same this year and if not who do you think will jump to the top?
AllstarDad8 Posted June 20, 2008 Author Report Posted June 20, 2008 Would you happen to know how many returners they have?
HouTexan Posted June 20, 2008 Report Posted June 20, 2008 Buna will still be the team to beat. Pretty much the entire team returning. I believe there were only 2 starters lost to graduation and some good athletes replacing them.
AllstarDad8 Posted June 20, 2008 Author Report Posted June 20, 2008 I believe that the district will be closer this season just because of experience. Many teams didn't lose that many stars therefor the teams will only be better. This year should be pretty interesting.
cardinals4life Posted June 20, 2008 Report Posted June 20, 2008 i think Buna will have 7 starters coming back with there 1 and 2 pitchers coming back in my opinion i think there going to win it all next year
AllstarDad8 Posted June 20, 2008 Author Report Posted June 20, 2008 That is a safe bet! Maybe some hitters are going to start dialing in on their pitchers but until I see it, Buna looks good.
KDOSullivan Posted June 21, 2008 Report Posted June 21, 2008 Buna is the team to beat. They only lost their 2B and LF to graduation.
Javelina Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 Buna has to be the team to beat in 2-A with a record of 20-1 against 2-A teams everyone will be gunning for em
nike09 Posted November 11, 2008 Report Posted November 11, 2008 Look for Kirbyville to whoop there tails if they end up getting to play. Kville pretty much has there team returning and they dropped from one of the toughest districts around. Look for them to not hold back and try to dominate 2A just like there football team is doing.

nike09 Posted November 14, 2008 Report Posted November 14, 2008 I say shame on Buna. Just get your popcorn ready if they get to play

Buna baseball 13 Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 BUNA IS WITH NO DOUBT THE TEAM TO BEAT
Guest BCNatureBoy Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 K-Ville and Buna aren't in the same district are they? Head to head Buna is better but K-Ville will be able to compete at a high level.

Kville is not a baseball school?? yes they have a traditon of winning on the football field but people are missing the whole point here. times change. I can remember beating the snot out of Kirbyville in football when i was in school. That would not be the case now. The big factor is Kirbyville dropping down to 2A. There is a big difference between 3a and 2a. Last year Kville entered a 2a tournament in Kountze and won it then prcieded to win only one game in district. Kville returns 7 starters including a all-state plalyer so they will be competitive. they will give buna a run for their money!!!!
Javelina Posted November 21, 2008 Report Posted November 21, 2008 In my opininon the only way Kirbyville would have a chance against Buna in the playoffs (cause they are not in the same district) is if they win the coin flip and choose a one game series. But then that prob will not be enough just look at what they did to Hempill last year. Hemphill thought they had the game wraped up in the sixth when they were up 8-1 but we all know how that turned out.
ftballcrazy Posted November 23, 2008 Report Posted November 23, 2008 Buna returns 7 starters who went to Round Rock and played on the field!
Buna baseball 13 Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 SHEPPARD, CRAFT, HILLIN, CLARK, BAKER, BAXTER, BREWSTER are all the returning players. i've played with everysingle one of these kids and i'm here to tell you THEY LEGIT!!!!!

SteelerCzy Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 K-Ville and Buna aren't in the same district are they? Head to head Buna is better but K-Ville will be able to compete at a high level. Kirbyvile will be stout, Buna and Kirbyville would be a good series to watch.
bulldog16 Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 Word on the street is that both of these schools will be competing in the Orangefield tournament this year. Haven't seen a bracket yet, but maybe we can see a match-up in this tournament.
Buna baseball 13 Posted December 9, 2008 Report Posted December 9, 2008 i wouldnt doubt it. the buna kville game will be interesting for maybe the first 2 innings and after that........... well you know how that goes
hitman009 Posted December 9, 2008 Report Posted December 9, 2008 I think Buna is a little to confident, just like their football team. to much can happen in baseball. When Jasper won state 3 years ago, I remember HJ going into Bulldog stadium and putting a whippin on those dawgs!! Does that mean HJ had a better team that year??? NO!!! As for Kirbyville they have talent to compeat in 2A. Buna was getting whipped in 3A before they dropped, so what to you think will happen to Kirbyville since they dropped down. I expect the same!!!

Buna also went to state in 3A, and competed almost every year. We had a few bad years once teams like Jasper started falling to 3A.
