dav-joel
Is there a reason that all the Nederland lists are leaving off Jake Askew? When I think of great Nederland WR'S, I always think of him in the top 3.Also players from the 50's (State Champs '57) 60-s Fleming, Merrin, Ewing and so on70-s Skinner, Tanner80's & 90's Lance Sheperd, Chatelain, Metts, Barrow,Dale Dial, Jon DavisJust funny how memories fade, and the oldsters are forgotten. CoachB
FLY LIKE AN EAGLE--How can you forget the LCM studs like Eric Peveto, Greg Harmon, and probably the toughest D-Linemen I have ever seen Wade Frederick(sp?) I remember my father coaching him, and me being on the sideline...he would take on a double team like it was nothing...I also remember him taking on a whole jasper team during a fight. Boy was that kid mean.

FlyLikeAnEagle
You are right, I played with Greg Harmon and he was really a good player. Peveto and Wade Fredrick were also good. What about OWEN JOHNSON! He was the one ejected during that fight with Jasper. He was tough! You always forget somebody when you try to do these lists. Wooch was a hell of an athlete, but never really got to show it due to injury. I don't think I would put him so high on the list. Personally, I would have listed more players from the late 80's and early 90's, but that's just my era. Guys like Shawn Loicano, Steve Racca, Anthony Semien, Sean Donaho, Adam Janese, Jake Droddy, Josh Droddy, Cody Mahon, Kevin Labay, etc., etc.

WOS92
Hooks is 6-0 vs. Barbay. Barbay is a close second (and don't give me that "smaller school" crap. WO-S still beats teams twice its size and more).

Then the next year, another storm. Hooks dodged two definent losses. This might be the only time you here this, "Dan Ray was living right."
