Hooks didn't dodge anything! No one played down here after Rita for a few weeks.

He dodged a loss !

Like I said, must be living right !

(don't get upset, just making light of the event)

Newton will play WOS, no problem, get's us ready for the play-offs.

But, don't start talking smack mrs. lcm.  Don't let your mouth overload your teams ability.  I don't think the cubs want any of what NEWTON has.

But, only when its convenient for Hooks.  WOS let a little thing like Rita get in the way of a definent WIN for the Eagles.  Then the next year, another storm.  Hooks dodged two definent losses.  This might be the only time you here this, "Dan Ray was living right."

Not everyone at Newton feels this way. We've never beaten WO-S or Marlin. But that don't mean we would'nt line up and try them again. These two Coaches are both legends in East Texas and there's no need to question their abilities.

LOL... Yeah, I guess they woulda beaten us even though we had Beasley - something only the eventual 3A state champs could do.  ;)

Yes indeed.  This is a heck of a list from Central.  I forgot about lil' Tony Coleman.  He was fast.  The best players, IMO, is B. Williams, McElroy, or Holts.  All three were barbarians.

I could think of two from Deweyville who were just studs.  Of course I moved away in the 9th grade, but I still hear they were pretty darn good in high school.

Who could forget big BOB BUXTON and Steve Bethea.

PNG. These are ones  I've seen  play. In no particular order......

Dustin Long

Richy Etheridge

Ted Brack

Ron McGill

Trayce Boudoin(sp?)

Bo Wortham

Coburn twins

Joey Price

Chris Gohlke

Josh Cook

These are ones I have seen play in  person and remember. There are others that could be on  the list that I saw but was too young to really remember.

These may be the ones that you've seen in person, BUT with the long standing tradition and history that PNG posseses, ANY PNG list has to start with Jeff "The Jet" Bergeron.  I know it's old school and many years ago (early 70's), but that guy was one of the best!

I think any Deweyville list should have Levi Moore on it. He played on bad teams and was about the only reason they won any games. He was a stud. ;)
