I know LeBoeuf, Simpson, Bergeron, and Giblin played in the NFL... but the teams/years will need to be looked up. Go NDNs. Peace.
Guest Orangeboy Posted August 7, 2006 Report Posted August 7, 2006 BRIDGE CITY IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER 1. STEVE WORSTER 2. MATT PEEBLES 3.JOE LANGSTON 4. BRYAN WARD 5. RICHARD SLAYDON 6. RANDY FULTS 7. LANGSTON FALL 8. JAMEY KNIGHT 9. SHANE DRONETT 10 JASON MATTHEWS I agree you have to put Bryan Bock on this list. He is a former Willie Ray Smith Award Winner, and was a hard runner for the Cards for the 94-96 football seasons. Also, How can you not put Matt Bryant on this list, he is still playing in the NFL, I don't care if it is as a kicker. He was a great athlete for the Cardinals.
Istroumax Posted August 7, 2006 Report Posted August 7, 2006 All old timers, but here goes............... 1- Billy Cannon 2- Roy "Moonie" Winston 3- George Rice 4- Lynn Amedee 5- Jim Turner

Another one that is close in my book, is The Waterboy, Robert Melich. For his size, dude could play the LB position, sideline to sideline.

kicker Posted August 8, 2006 Report Posted August 8, 2006 For BC, I would say that you could eventually add J. Dishon on your list. I think he will make some noise after he graduates. It might be in Baseball, but he'll do well. I heard he was a good kid and a great leader.
Guest bleed orange Posted August 9, 2006 Report Posted August 9, 2006 All these guys you mentioned were awesome and did some great things in their high school and college careers, but they could have done nothing without the team. You can not praise a running back or a quaterback unless you praise the offense line. They same with the defense. This thread is great and brings back memories, but I remember the guys in the trenches. They did all the work, our job was easy.
AttoyacPride Posted August 9, 2006 Report Posted August 9, 2006 You are right....that's why my alltime greats at Garrison include linemen too,,,check it out. Jason Cook from the 90's, Wayne Birdwell from the 60's and Murdoch Hooper and Donnie Phillips both from the 40's were all linemen,,,defense and offense. ...since at that time Garrison played "IronMan" Football.
