Weaver pulled with no hitter

The Angels' Jeff Weaver had a no hitter through 8, but was losing 1-0 to the Dodgers. Since it's interleague, Weaver lifted for PH. It's going to 9th, Dodgers with no hits, but winning.

Weaver threw 6 full innings before he was pulled. At that time he was over 100 pitches. Jose Arradondo threw the 7-8 innings. The thing that bothers me is its not considered a no-hitter because the Angels only threw 8 innings. If a team gets 0 hits in a game it should be a no-hitter.
