Break do u have a good source on the buna cougars or something.  I don't think y'all will battle for a playoff spot because your JV was crappy last year and so was your JH and y'all graduated alot of kids. so unless you have a secret weapon then probally fourth or fifth in the district.

Who cares what SE Texas thinks?

Sportswriters, over-the-hill dads and various other jock sniffers will have no say in who wins the district championship. The championship will be decided by the players and coaches on the field.

For the record, EC will retain it's district crown.

I agree with most of that.  But I will have to say....KOUNTZE WILL BE TAKING THAT CROWN!!!!I have a son and 2 nephews that play for Kountze,All the kids are ready for this season.

GO LIONS!!!!!!! ;D

Is it just me or do you guys care a whole lot less what sombody has 2 say about a team when their kids and family are on it since their view is biased?

the only way the panthers will show second is to learn how to win first. the panthers play to lose , not to win. anahuac does not have the drive like the hill, hd ,ecc has. it come from the inside first, then it will show on friday nites. i bleed black and gold , but anahuac needs to prove it first.

until district 23aa knocks off ecc they will remain champs. only teams in the district  that will challenge ecc will be anahuac, hardin, kountze. but we have to remember deweyville , but my opinion it will be 1.ecc. 2. kountze.3. anahuac.4 hardin pick em to finish district spots.

I don't think Warren will win the district or even challenge for a playoff spot but the mighty Lions beat them last year by 1 on a last second extra point so don't overlook any of the clubs.FYI= the playoff clubs stay the same this with D-ville maybe slippin in if they stay healthy.

we always like to see a strong district, but 23aa is has a tract of beating each other up and skipping out after the first round, i am an anahuac fan, but i think it is great when the odd team out every year makes the playoffs. good luck 23aa teams.

I guess i have the inside scoop??? And Buna's jv was much improved towards the end of the year. Just remember, It isn't going to be but a few jv players on varsity. Buna still will have talent coming back. My opinion is they will fill one of the 3 playoff spots.

Kountze will certainly be in the mix this year, but to say they are "heavy favorites" for the District Title is a matter of opinion.
