The wife of New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez will file for divorce in Miami-Dade Circuit Court on Monday, multiple media outlets reported on Sunday.

Cynthia Rodriguez wed the Miami product in 2002 and they have two children together, Natasha, 3, and Ella, who is 3-months-old.

According to KTRK TV in Houston, the suit cites a "long period of infidelity on the part or Mr. Rodriguez, an all-star baseball player for the New York Yankees." The suit also claims "emotional abandonment."

The Miami Herald reported that the couple has a prenuptial agreement. They have a six-bedroom estate in Coral Gables, Fla. The newspaper reported that Cynthia Rodriguez wants to be named primary residential parent with shared custody of their children.
