TradinUp BH Posted July 7, 2008 Report Posted July 7, 2008 I'm curious to know how many players does your high school varsity suit out? I know it depends sometimes on what classification, but like WOS suits out like 25, but I'm not sure. Also, how many kids are in your football program from freshman to seniors? Just trying to come up with new topic. ;D
AggiesAreWe Posted July 7, 2008 Report Posted July 7, 2008 I know since Silsbee dropped down to 3A four years ago, they have had 41,38,38,33 suit out for varsity. Don't know the total numbers from freshman to senior.
BearWolf Posted July 8, 2008 Report Posted July 8, 2008 WB suits 42 on varsity. 250 total in the program. 5 teams this year, 2 freshmen, 1 soph, 1 JV, 1 varsity.
82 5A State Champs Posted July 8, 2008 Report Posted July 8, 2008 WB suits 42 on varsity. 250 total in the program. 5 teams this year, 2 freshmen, 1 soph, 1 JV, 1 varsity. Surely with that many players in the program, the numbers on varsity should increase? We need to develop some depth and suit up somewhere between 55-60, IMO. Heck, some of the teams we will be seeing next season will have 85-90 players on the sidelines. Just something else to ponder. ;D
BearWolf Posted July 9, 2008 Report Posted July 9, 2008 Stump believe that players that never get on the field never get better. So he leave those guys on the JV where they can get the reps
TradinUp BH Posted July 9, 2008 Author Report Posted July 9, 2008 Stump believe that players that never get on the field never get better. So he leave those guys on the JV where they can get the reps WB has been like that forever. You never heard of very many Juniors much less sophmores or freshman on the varsity roster. Most of the time the varsity consisted of all senior and maybe the most 4 or 5 juniors. It may have changed a little now. WB usually suits out 2 Fresh, 1 Soph, 1 JV, 1 Varsity always alot of players to pick from.

BearWolf Posted July 10, 2008 Report Posted July 10, 2008 Stump bring up the guys that will get significant playing time the next season. There's no set number. It could be 5 or 25.
Gasilla Posted July 10, 2008 Report Posted July 10, 2008 WO-S varsity is usually 25-33 kids. JV usually around 25 and freshman around 30.
