westendfirst Posted July 19, 2008 Report Posted July 19, 2008 They are in Tyler tonight playing in the state (or regional?) tournament. For some reason they seem to be the 'forgotten' team on this site. The team is made up of 13 & 14 yr olds from Beaumont. It's affiliated with Little League baseball. They rolled through district and sectionals. Most of the kids are from West End Little League and a few are from Amelia Little League. If anyone hears how they are doing please post it.
westend1 Posted July 20, 2008 Report Posted July 20, 2008 Beaumont lost to Washington City 8-4. Our starting pitcher left after 1 inning with arm soreness. They play again today at 5 pm. The Beaumont Senior(15-16) won and they will play Bryan today.
MIF04 Posted July 20, 2008 Report Posted July 20, 2008 Congrats to both. Can someone list the members of these teams? I think the boys deserve the recognition. And good luck !!!!

westendfirst Posted July 20, 2008 Author Report Posted July 20, 2008 Beaumont Juniors stay alive with an 8-4 win today. Excellent. Hopefully we can find some pitching. If the person I'm thinking of has a sore arm that's not good. It would be their #1 pitcher. They have decent pitching depth but probably only one true shutdown type of pitcher (the one with the sore arm?). They have a lot of talented ballplayers so hopefully they can score enough to win it. Good luck!!
westend1 Posted July 21, 2008 Report Posted July 21, 2008 Beaumont Seniors beat Bryan and they are sitting in the winners bracket waiting.
texcoug Posted July 21, 2008 Report Posted July 21, 2008 Congrats to both squads. Keep it up. Someone from here needs to get to the next level (in one league or another).
westend1 Posted July 22, 2008 Report Posted July 22, 2008 The Beaumont Juniors lost 8-3 to Washington City to end a great post-season run. Beaumont Seniors play Bryan tonight for the state championship.
