tvc184 Posted July 27, 2008 Report Posted July 27, 2008 A 300 acre ranch huh? Got to wonder about the sport of that one. A guided hunt on a small ranch with several exotics. Hmmmm.......
643 Posted July 28, 2008 Report Posted July 28, 2008 Surely, Jimmy Houston mite be interested, although 300 acres would be considered a big pasture.
643 Posted July 30, 2008 Report Posted July 30, 2008 Forgot to mention all you probabally need to hunt is a handfull of corn and a Ball Peen hammer.
YankeeDawg Posted July 30, 2008 Report Posted July 30, 2008 A 300 acre ranch huh? Got to wonder about the sport of that one. A guided hunt on a small ranch with several exotics. Hmmmm....... Isn't that the place where the game has big yellow helium balloons tied to them saying "HEY, I'M RIGHT HERE AND I'M DRUGGED". I don't hunt, but that sure doesn't sound very sporting to me either.
westend1 Posted July 30, 2008 Report Posted July 30, 2008 I know a guy who took his kid out to shoot an axis doe. Kid had never shot a deer and I think he had a great time. They stuck him in a blind and waited for a herd to walk by. Not my kind of hunting, but not bad for first timers(pretty cheap) and they got some good meat to boot. It's really not much different from taking a huge gun out to west Texas and watching a feeder.(or a corned sedero for that matter)
Swingbatta Posted July 30, 2008 Report Posted July 30, 2008 Thats Carl Griffiths place. It is right off the interstate in Winnie. Not much of a sport hunt as previously mentioned, you get to pet the one you want before you shoot it. Good for kids I guess...
tvc184 Posted July 30, 2008 Report Posted July 30, 2008 Then again, you get to hunt an exotic tallow and yaupon thicket. Heck, you might even get to see such exotics as a holly tree or oak.
bullets13 Posted August 1, 2008 Report Posted August 1, 2008 i'm all about hunting deer with a castnet. what's wrong with you guys!!!
Bucof2010 Posted August 1, 2008 Report Posted August 1, 2008 You can see the pasture he raises them in from the highway...just pick the one you want then they hog tie it and let u hunt it.
YankeeDawg Posted August 4, 2008 Report Posted August 4, 2008 Can they do the same thing for fishing?? I'd love to catch a 5 pound flounder in about 5 minutes without really having to work for it :
