Lamar Cardinal Club To Hold Third Annual Phon-A-Thon

The Lamar University Cardinal Club will hold its third annual Phon-a-thon on Thursday, July 31st to promote its annual membership drive. Sixty volunteers and coaches will be on-hand to make phone calls to local area alumni, season ticket holders, and community supporters, encouraging them to support Lamar Athletics by donating to the Cardinal Club.

Membership donations to the Cardinal Club help fund the over $1,000,000 in scholarships that are awarded each year for Lamar student-athletes.

The Summer Phon-a-thon will take place in the Cardinal Club Room of the Montagne Center. 20 volunteers will make phone calls during the morning session from 9-11 a.m., 20 volunteers will take the afternoon session from 1-3 p.m. and 20 volunteers will take the evening session from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

The goal for this year's membership drive is $200,000.
