MANUNITEDfootball Posted August 2, 2008 Report Posted August 2, 2008 What are the chances? Stupid american football...........yea, like that darn stadium will be full on Saturday afternoons. Love football........but why not soccer at Lamar?
Jsmity Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 Even if Lamar were to get an official team.... it would be made up just as the Womens is... as in the majority of the players would not be representing this area... the fact of the matter is that our area produces good soccer players... but not as many Div. 1 quality players as you think... dont get me wrong there are some... but if this post was made in asperations of promoting south east texas soccer players as that, then you are mistaken

The issue is gender equity. The reinstatement of a football program ended any possibility of other men's sports being added at LU.
Jsmity Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 well yea Title IX does kinda put a damper on things... I was taking that consideration as an already given...
