Guest etbu Posted August 7, 2008 Report Posted August 7, 2008 I don't understand if you take a vacation during this time you should not be allowed to play. Not fair to other team members in my opinion but old timer. Ha
stangchain Posted August 7, 2008 Report Posted August 7, 2008 I think there was one player who missed the first day. I'm sure that he made up his conditioning drills, though and will not take the day off again. What is not fair are those kids who did not go through the off-season because they can't cut it, yet try to come back when it gets time to play the games. I know that happens in a lot of schools.
Gasilla Posted August 7, 2008 Report Posted August 7, 2008 Tell me, just how many of you ever went through 2 a days? I did, four of them.
stangchain Posted August 7, 2008 Report Posted August 7, 2008 Did you condition yourself in the summer or eat too many moon pies? LOL
Green and Bold Posted August 7, 2008 Report Posted August 7, 2008 Green: There is no doubt that the Bears play hard and practice hard. What the poster was getting at is a fact that a lot of kids who could not make it on the the Mustang squad will quit school at WOS and enroll in LCM. [/quote Not arguing the point. It is true. But some just always gotta take a dig. If your kid was playing I dont think you would appreciate it thats all. But if its that entertaining for ya, go for it.

We probably do take a few to many cheap shots.

STiger85 Posted August 7, 2008 Report Posted August 7, 2008 I know if a person works in a paper or chemical plant that the worker has to schedule their vacation, they just can not take off when they want to. Also, scheduling their vacation is mostly done by seniority, meaning the worker that has been there the longest has first choice of when they want to take their vacation. All I am saying is a worker may only have a certain time they can take off for vacation, and a week of football two-a-days mite have been the only time to take off.

We probably do take a few to many cheap shots. I wasn't taking a cheap shot. I was making a statement. If you took my statement the wrong way then you are just looking for something. It was a fact and a true fact. I support LCM just as I support WOS. Well except for one game a year. Oh and by the way I never played football. That doesn't mean I can't have an opinion.
