OldNedDog Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 Does anyone have information on Ford Fields being affiliated with Nations Baseball? Did they dump USSSA? If so, from now on or just the Fall season? Thanks for any info.
BigRedMachine Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 from what i understand several of the usual usssa parks are going to this. i know Ron Mathis is now the State director for nations instead of USSSA. Still dont know what prompted this change by Mathis. Gonna be interesting to see how all this shakes out.
OldNedDog Posted August 7, 2008 Author Report Posted August 7, 2008 I checked out the website for Nations, looks like the rules are basically the same as USSSA. Except for some baserunning and stealing rules for the younger teams. Hope it works out for the good.

Mathis found a way to get his hand in the cookie jar just like Joey Odom (USSSA VP of Baseball) does in Lousiana. It is up to Morgan Walker how he affiliates the tournaments at Ford Park. Most of the Houston Complexes have decided to go with Nations Baseball and I am sure Morgan will as well. What I would like to see change is the strangle hold that USSSA put on rosters.
Guest gladiator2 Posted August 7, 2008 Report Posted August 7, 2008 All of Morgan's tournaments are now affiliated with Nations.
