year after year after year this man still has a smile on his face about his mustang team.if you were to ask dan will it ever end he will just look at you and (SMILE) and tell you not as long as he is there,someone told him thay will get him a rocking chair if he will stay a little longer he will tell you just get me a driver for the golf cart(BIG SMILE).we at west orange -stark are very blessed to have such a man as dan hooks around,it would be so sad going to a mustang game and not seeing dan there .when asked about his mustang team this year --------------------------- BIG SMILE. he will tell you to save up your money for gas to make the trips to the play offs and you can take that to the bank.coach hooks will be the first one to tell you he has been blessed with some of the best coaches in the great state of texas just as him about them then watch the (SMILE) thank GOD for sending us coach dan hooks    PS SORRY ABOUT THE SPELLING

good post skipper, hooks is one of the main reasons for 20 plus years of good memories for mustang fans.  it's going to be different not seeing him on the sidelines when he does decide to hang it up.

i just now got a phone call from a friend that lives up around dallas.he likes to read the post on this site,he said dan hooks my not be a big man  but he is a giant in texas high school football. he said if you ever say his name around other coaches around the state  thay will say he is the man  the big daddy.

He's a pretty funny guy to be around, too.  Never at a loss for an anecdote.
