bobcatfan Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 So i've got the Olympics on this morning, and i flipped over and watched Mike and Mike in the morning because USA is showing the first period the US womens field hockey game (didnt know that was even an event). During Mike and Mike, the bottom line is giving olympic basketball updates on the Spain-China game, which features a battle between Yao Ming and Pau Gasol for their respective countries. China was about to pull an upset and Spain was coming back, so i kept flipping back to USA, thinking they would flip over to that game and they never did. The game even went into overtime and Spain ended up winning but i never got to see it. Instead, USA felt the first period of the womens field hockey game was more intriguing to watch. USA network doesnt realize that more people know who Yao Ming and Pau Gasol are and dont have a clue who plays on the US womens field hockey team or that they even exist. Yao and Gasol may not play for the US, but fans like me and others would like to see them on TV over a womens field hockey game. I thought this was a bit of an oversight on their part, but maybe i am overreacting.
