Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 Why is it that certain good football programs dont keep up with their players attendence in class? It would be a smart thing to do right?
DP#1FAN Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 It's not a coaches job to baby sit 24 hours a day. If the kid WANTS to play he will make it to class.
kicker Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 As much as it hurts me DP, im disagreeing with you on this. I think it IS the coaches responsability to watch his players. Coaches are like second parents or even the only parents some kids have. I believe it comes with the job.
DP#1FAN Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 Kicker, I'll meet you half way on this one. The student must still want too play and to play he knows he has to be in class.
kicker Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 Kicker' date=' I'll meet you half way on this one. The student must still want too play and to play he knows he has to be in class.[/quote'] Oh I agree about that, but motivation is the key. It goes a long way coming from a coach.
DP#1FAN Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 In high school my motivation was a board on the BUTT.
SETXsports Broadcaster Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 that was ours also many years ago...a good board on the BUTT made sure you were on time and had good grades
