Roy Oswalt pitched probably one of his 5 best games in his career yesterday against the Dbacks.  He had only lost once to them in his career so you know he would have their number.  But if you take a look at his one hit given up yesterday in his 8 innings pitched, he shouldve had a chance at a no hitter in the 9th.  With Kaz Matsui on the DL, Mark Loretta was playing 2nd base and Loretta has far less range than the younger, more athletic Matsui.  Go back and watch the highlight of Stephen Drew hitting the ball past the diving Loretta when Pence throws out the Dback at home plate.  Loretta just missed getting a glove on the ball, tell me that Kaz Matsui doesnt get to that ball, i think he wouldve.  Yesterday i believe was the best chance Oswalt has ever had at throwing a no hitter.  Its worth noting that Oswalt wouldve had to face Drew again in the 9th if he had a no hitter on the line, but i think he wouldve had a great shot at a no hitter if Kaz Matsui is playing 2nd that day.  Heres a link to that Pence throw out at home, watch the Drew hit and tell me Matsui wouldve gotten to that ball.
