KFDM COOP Posted August 19, 2008 Report Posted August 19, 2008 www.texasprepinsider.com Four West Brook players have offers By Alan Zepeda Southwest Region Manager Posted Aug 19, 2008 Alan Zepeda The Beaumont area is in the center of Teh Golden Triangle and as such is an area known for creating a lot of prospects in a small area. One of the top teams in the area, if not the top team, is West Brook High School. Lead by Coach Craig Stump they have an impressive array of players. Currently the focus on the athletes at West Brook high school centers on running back Christine Michael. Will he commit to LSU or Texas A&M or Texas or will he surprise people and commit elsewhere? For the recruiting fans it does not stop there at West Brook High School. Three other recruits currently sport offers and are not currently committed. Interestingly enough all four of the Bruins with offers are on offense. First off of course is Christian Michael who is the talk of the state after a very impressive workout at a Florida camp. He has offers from, well, everyone and is one of the top big names still on the board. As coach Stump puts it, "he has too many to list". At quarterback for the Bruins is Christian Louis, who comes in at 5-11, 205 and runs a 4.60. According to Coach Stump he has been offered by Rice. He is being recruited at positions other than quarterback for college. The last two with offers are a pair of receviers with Jordan Garrett, 5-11 205 4.60, being offered by Rice and Stephen F. Austin. Last one with offers is Ryan Grant who has an offer from Stephen F. Austin currently. As you may have noticed the Bruins players with offers are their quarterback, tailback and two receivers, nice combo for a team with an offensive minded coach. Bruins look set for a big season offensively and if so then their offensive players will get more looks by colleges.
