skipper Posted August 19, 2008 Report Posted August 19, 2008 last week in dayton wo-s had a relly a hard time with daytons (BIG ) D line just could not (STOP) them all night.NOW comes vidor just as BIG from what i have been told we will see friday. i hope this will not be the case all year long for the mustangs becouse in two week thay have nederland
tam2121 Posted August 19, 2008 Report Posted August 19, 2008 The thing that Dayton had that Vidor doesn't is speed. Size alone isn't going to hurt them.
KFDM COOP Posted August 19, 2008 Report Posted August 19, 2008 After the rains this week look for a wet field, maybe low scoring!
raiderpride Posted August 20, 2008 Report Posted August 20, 2008 i dunno bout vidor this year man they seem to have kept a pretty low profile here in the offseason, may be a dark horse in the running.......HAHA right......cant say much though, lumberton was always trying to be the dark horse
stangchain Posted August 20, 2008 Report Posted August 20, 2008 And then you win, Raider, and you just can't keep it inside. That's how we as Mustangs feel. (And PNG, and Ned, and WB, and.....the list goes on).
KFDM COOP Posted August 20, 2008 Report Posted August 20, 2008 Looks like the Vidor/WO-S Scrimmage will be in Orange at East Campus...9th/JV 5PM Varsity at 6pm.
stangchain Posted August 20, 2008 Report Posted August 20, 2008 Is the rain going to be over by then? This is ridiculous!!!!!
KFDM COOP Posted August 20, 2008 Report Posted August 20, 2008 Won't be as widespread, but still some scattered showers.
td Posted August 20, 2008 Report Posted August 20, 2008 Won't be as widespread, but still some scattered showers. I want to grow up and be a weather man. I wish I could have answers like that. How can you be wrong? I'm jealous Coop. ;D
KFDM COOP Posted August 20, 2008 Report Posted August 20, 2008 East Campus in Orange has the best drainage of any field i've seen..
LLDad Posted August 20, 2008 Report Posted August 20, 2008 Won't be as widespread, but still some scattered showers. I want to grow up and be a weather man. I wish I could have answers like that. How can you be wrong? I'm jealous Coop. ;D First you have to grow up. :D You walked into that one.
Bobcatfan4life Posted August 20, 2008 Report Posted August 20, 2008 Where is east campus It's that stadium right off green avenue as you are heading into downtown orange from west orange. Old Stark High School stadium
jollyroger Posted August 20, 2008 Report Posted August 20, 2008 Where is east campus It's that stadium right off green avenue as you are heading into downtown orange from west orange. Old Stark High School stadium Thanks Bobcat
td Posted August 20, 2008 Report Posted August 20, 2008 Won't be as widespread, but still some scattered showers. I want to grow up and be a weather man. I wish I could have answers like that. How can you be wrong? I'm jealous Coop. ;D First you have to grow up. :D You walked into that one. ok you got me on that one. The only problem with the East Campus or what is now the Middle School field is that we only have seating on one side of the field. Come early if you like to sit down. You're right Coop it probably is the best draining field around.
OrangeFBfan Posted August 20, 2008 Report Posted August 20, 2008 You're correct about the drainage and the quality of the field overall. There's an interesting story behind that old field and stadium. The Stark’s went all out regarding the design of the field. Its play rivals any natural grass field in the country. I'll work on the details of how that field was originally assembled and what went into the construction.
KFDM COOP Posted August 20, 2008 Report Posted August 20, 2008 I can remember days when 3-4 inches of rain would fall by 6 pm there would be no water on it at all.
OrangeFBfan Posted August 20, 2008 Report Posted August 20, 2008 Yeah, the parking there... not so good. There's parking along the street on the stadium side, and Wells Fargo. Other parking on the campus side where there aren't any bleachers. Should be ok for a scrimmage.
Gasilla Posted August 20, 2008 Report Posted August 20, 2008 Being a 4qtr game scrimmage and vidor being so close, I'll bet it's going to be packed.
KFDM COOP Posted August 20, 2008 Report Posted August 20, 2008 And a reminder Stands are only on one side
Guest Dirk Diggler Posted August 21, 2008 Report Posted August 21, 2008 Field should be in good shape.
skipper Posted August 21, 2008 Author Report Posted August 21, 2008 the west orange-s east campus dont look all that bad
marshman Posted August 21, 2008 Report Posted August 21, 2008 Its been many, many years (too many than I care to mention) since I went to a high school scrimmage. Just curious whats the charge now a days to get in?
