Guest Jags Posted August 19, 2008 Report Posted August 19, 2008 Friday scrimmage, who comes out the winner?
82 5A State Champs Posted August 19, 2008 Report Posted August 19, 2008 I would love to see our other team from Beaumont win. LaMarque has a new HC and a new scheme. Central has a few returners and could cause some problems for the Cougars. I have to give the edge to LM, although the Jags should play them a tough game.
shorttexas1 Posted August 20, 2008 Report Posted August 20, 2008 We in here... Jags all the way... This may not be the old Lamarque, but this will be the REAL Central... Will the REAL Jaguars please stand up?!
raiderpride Posted August 20, 2008 Report Posted August 20, 2008 im hoping for the best for central, especially after the way the fans reacted to lumberton beating lamarque last season, i lost all respect for that school and that team that night, that stuff was un-called for, run over em central

As I walked to my car I told lumerton's fans good luck and wise them well the next round.

But you fail to realize that this is our first time seeing our Jags after that sad season last year. A lot of expectations. I just need to see if they are poised to compete this year. IMO, there is no winner or loser in a scrimmage. It's just practice like you said.
KFDM COOP Posted August 20, 2008 Report Posted August 20, 2008 Maybe it will be a 4 Quarter game scrimmage, more and more teams are going to that format!
Guest Jags Posted August 20, 2008 Report Posted August 20, 2008 LaMarque is not the team they used to be. Central wins.

Practice builds champions... and REAL champions practice like its game time... If TO can practice as hard as he does then High Schoolers should practice even hard than that! In the famous words of Rickey Bobbit, "If you aint first you are last!"
shorttexas1 Posted August 20, 2008 Report Posted August 20, 2008 Man I really sound serious! Mat be a "TAD" over board!
BigWolf10 Posted August 20, 2008 Report Posted August 20, 2008 Stowers calls his Defensive scheme organized chaos. I can't wait to see how it's coming together Friday night.
Guest BIG HOUSE Posted August 20, 2008 Report Posted August 20, 2008 LaMARQUE will win....Central still needs to improve..
Guest Its_All_About_Tha_U Posted August 20, 2008 Report Posted August 20, 2008 I do think LaMarque will outplay the Jags in this scrimmage. I won't say they win because it is just a scrimmage but I think they get the better of the contest. Nothing against Central. Does LaMarque still have the QB Kerligan and WR Haynes #7 from last year? gman...do U know?
Guest Its_All_About_Tha_U Posted August 20, 2008 Report Posted August 20, 2008 Who does Central have at QB and RB? Did Spikes ever leave or was that just a rumor?

[/quot Both of them are gone. You are right you play like you practice. But don't put to much weight on any scrimmage.I have seen a lot of LM teams that looked like $hit in scrimmage and go on and win state. You want to look at your kids .

obcowboy Posted August 21, 2008 Report Posted August 21, 2008 To quote T.O., "Getcha popcorn ready! Here we come!" Central has more than a few guys coming back, they have a lot of talent! You think about last season and tell me who they will miss? Frog was good, but didn't live up to the hype of his mag cover; you could maybe call out 3 or 4 names of SR's who graduated that made a difference. Just about all their key guys where Soph's or JR's...they now have that experience since those Soph's and JR's are now JR's and SR's. The OL is older and still together, they're stronger and faster! Don't be late! Freshman and JV start @ 4pm and Varsity get going at 6pm Dem Jags SOOOO SMOOVE!
