Katy blamed the weather, as if both teams didn't play in it. That next week was real golden though. 😎

Many is the time PNG beat Nederland, or vice versa Nederland beat PNG & it was one of the only wins of the season for the victor of the game.  The loser having gone on to the playoffs.  Mid County Madness is crazy like that. It has no bearing on the season's fortunes, good or bad.  I expect that this PNG vs Texas High game should be played prior to announcing the winner.  Just a thought! Safe travels for everyone!!! Another interesting tidbit: The last time La Porte was in a Regional Semi (6A), they faced a top 3 ranked team that many thought was unstoppable. Said team had multiple State Championships & had mowed through their opponents. La Porte was basically a 5A school going against a juggernaut, and had lost badly to Katy 2 of the 3 previous years in their PO meetings. LP wasn’t given even a puncher’s chance. Final Score: La Porte 9 Katy 7
