Legacy scored on a 60 yard run in the 10 play portion of the scrimmage.  Colmesneil scored on two 70 yard drives in the game situation portion of the scrimmage.  Both teams looked good defensively.  Legacy has some good looking kids.  They are going to contend well this year in TAPPS.

Hull Daisetta beat Deweyville 2-1 in the controlled scrimmage and the 2-live quarters of play ended 0 - 0.  However, HD dominated the scrimmage on both sides of the ball, if not for 2-turnovers deep in Deweyville territority HD would have scored more points.  Deweyville's offensive total for the WHOLE scrimmage was close to negative total yards. HD is a very good, well Coached team that will do very well this year, on the other hand, Deweyville is in trouble.  Unless changes are made, Deweyville will be lucky to win 1-game this year.  Again, congrats to HD, they looked very fast, and well Coached.

1st half all Jasper. The QB for Jasper is quick and an accurate passer and their defense put alot of pressure on Nederland's QB. Jasper's secondary is good, the middle linebacker is a hoss.

Cardeneas made some nice catches and yards after completions for Nederland. But overall, Jasper won the 1st half big.

Was Deweyville beating themselves are could they just not do anything?

one of the things that Jasper had problems with last year was closing the door on opponents that they had a lead on.  They had problems with that 4th qrt killer instinct.  I bet though Coach Brooks will not let that happen again this year.
