Vidor.is.Underestimated Posted August 23, 2008 Report Posted August 23, 2008 Could this really be the year the program turns around????
Guest Dirk Diggler Posted August 23, 2008 Report Posted August 23, 2008 Possibily. You guys have a good OL, just need to throw more. I could see Vidor finishing 3rd.
Bobcatfan4life Posted August 23, 2008 Report Posted August 23, 2008 Remember that 4 teams now go to the playoffs in 4A.....
prepballfan Posted August 23, 2008 Report Posted August 23, 2008 How long has it been since Vidor has made the playoffs?
tvc184 Posted August 23, 2008 Report Posted August 23, 2008 I think Vidor may be the Lumberton of last year. They have a lot of experience coming back from a decent team a year ago. Just like Lumberton in '06, they lost a lot of games but played good at times and then had most of the team returning for last season. Vidor has a chance to do the same thing this year.
rhino1877 Posted August 23, 2008 Report Posted August 23, 2008 The line is large... A lot of people will under estimate Vidor.
tvc184 Posted August 23, 2008 Report Posted August 23, 2008 The line is large... A lot of people will under estimate Vidor. Not me. I think they have a chance at being the surprise team of the year.
jake94 Posted August 23, 2008 Report Posted August 23, 2008 Vidor will make the playoffs! I'll book that action.
Ned11str8 Posted August 23, 2008 Report Posted August 23, 2008 From what I saw of Vidor they are a strong and conditioned team.
Guest Indian Chief Posted August 23, 2008 Report Posted August 23, 2008 Vidor has just a good a chance than anyone. Our District looks weak again.
Guest pirates Posted August 24, 2008 Report Posted August 24, 2008 If the Pirates have a good pre-district season, builds some confidence and keeps the injuries down, they could surprise some people. I think the key will be "builds confidence". From what I have seen over the past 2 weeks, they are in shape, fired up and hitting hard. I sure like what I see so far, Coach Mathews is fired up like I have not seen him in a while. The Pirates now have a coaching staff that can coach and teach. The staff is as strong as it was in the late 70's into the early 80's. If everyone would remember the Pirates were very successful during that time. Congrats. to the AD, he has put together a staff that is worth something... It's going to be a very exciting year. GO PIRATES!
bronco1 Posted August 24, 2008 Report Posted August 24, 2008 I thought that the past 2 years Vidor was right on the verge, they always play hard good hitters. Maybe this will be the playoff year for ya'll. The top 4 could be Central, Vidor, Nederland, and Ozen.
knightrider Posted August 24, 2008 Report Posted August 24, 2008 Vidor has just a good a chance than anyone. Our District looks weak again. want to bring dayton back in 20-4a? would be strong again you think? ;D
Guest Indian Chief Posted August 24, 2008 Report Posted August 24, 2008 After this year Dayton looks to be back to just average.
knightrider Posted August 24, 2008 Report Posted August 24, 2008 After this year Dayton looks to be back to just average. probably be a rebuilding year next year for the broncs. lot of young players coming up. it'll be interesting to watch though
Guest kellybulldawg Posted August 24, 2008 Report Posted August 24, 2008 Vidor is being built up to be a good team but just like every other year they will prove you wrong. They will have a little reality check friday night when we beat them on their home field.
piratesplayer2 Posted September 3, 2008 Report Posted September 3, 2008 Vidor is gonna be #1 in district this year, no doubt. we'll let the black hats do the talkin!
dayton Posted September 3, 2008 Report Posted September 3, 2008 After this year Dayton looks to be back to just average. oughtta be some close games with 20-4A then.
