GTfootball Posted August 23, 2008 Report Posted August 23, 2008 Who are some key players your team are missing from last season??
AggiesAreWe Posted August 23, 2008 Report Posted August 23, 2008 Who are some key players your team are missing from last season?? For Silsbee, their entire offensive line along with all district reciever Donovan Harris.
BMTSoulja1 Posted August 23, 2008 Report Posted August 23, 2008 I can tell you that my Jags will have a great 'hitting' defense. That is something that we lacked last year.
GTfootball Posted August 24, 2008 Author Report Posted August 24, 2008 sounds like lumberton is missin some key players..
Gasilla Posted August 24, 2008 Report Posted August 24, 2008 For WOS, it's offensive tackle, Tim Matherne. All other problems can be fixed, nothing can make him a senior again. He will be missed, dearly.
AJ25 Posted August 24, 2008 Report Posted August 24, 2008 sounds like lumberton is missin some key players.. you would. you probably made this name just to talk crap on lumberton.. grow up. post about your own dang team.
SETXsports Broadcaster Posted August 24, 2008 Report Posted August 24, 2008 Lord (down on knees) just let Jasper find a field goal and extra point kicker.
AggiesAreWe Posted August 24, 2008 Report Posted August 24, 2008 Lord (down on knees) just let Jasper find a field goal and extra point kicker. Say Howard, from what I saw Thursday night against Nederland, Jasper has themselves a good kicker.
SETXsports Broadcaster Posted August 24, 2008 Report Posted August 24, 2008 I hope so, I am hoping to get out of this house and see some football. I just think back at all the past games were a kicker would of made a great difference ???
westend1 Posted August 24, 2008 Report Posted August 24, 2008 I think Chavis(DE) will be missed most at WB. We are going to need to find a pass rusher quick.
GTfootball Posted August 24, 2008 Author Report Posted August 24, 2008 how is sayin it "sounds like lumberton is missin some key players" talkin crap...there are multiple post sayin they have NO passin game..No secondary..No Speed....so i aint talkin crap just wonderin who every1 is missin..
knightrider Posted August 25, 2008 Report Posted August 25, 2008 if we can find a proven kicker, running back, and work the kinks out of the defense, it will be a very long season for the rest in 19-4a. we're almost there. "GO BRONCOS"
Guest rykerx144 Posted August 25, 2008 Report Posted August 25, 2008 OMG did somebody say Jasper had a kicker?????? i think that is the first time Ive ever heard that in my life (even playin) lol.

jake94 Posted August 25, 2008 Report Posted August 25, 2008 I think Nederland will miss Chris Gutierrez the most. No, he wasn't recruited, no he's not a D1 player, but he, Reagan Stanley, and Adam Broussard were 3 seniors that had a lot of heart.
shorttexas1 Posted August 25, 2008 Report Posted August 25, 2008 I have yet to see MY Team... But i watch the WB... They will be hard to stop on offense especially if C Louis can calm down and not throw the ball so high. C. Michaels is the truth and he runs hard. R. Grant will run the ball on short yardish downs. J. Garret can get open. D. Lopez has hands... This offense will have to play the "If you score 50, I will score 51" all season. The defense is suspect. No pass rush all night. LB's are decent at best with a few spectacular plays here and there. The DB's have no instinct. I watch a kid have the perfect angle on a pick, he got there, waited, let the offensive man catch the ball, then tackled him... It was a 3rd and 16 that turned into a first down. Unacceptable!

Somebody told me that for what they lost on the D-Line, they were going to make up for with the LB's. Do their LB's compare to our 2005 LB's, short?
OrangeFBfan Posted August 25, 2008 Report Posted August 25, 2008 For WOS, it's offensive tackle, Tim Matherne. All other problems can be fixed, nothing can make him a senior again. He will be missed, dearly. I agree whole heartily. Mr. Mathernewill be missed dearly. The O-line has some work to do, but I am looking forward to seeing who's gonna step it up and become another Mustang legend(s).
westend1 Posted August 25, 2008 Report Posted August 25, 2008 I have to agree with Short. Not much pass rush and our backers didn't really fill the holes like I hoped they would. i will say this, even when the first team was running, I saw many occasions where starters(lb's) were not in the game. It looked like we were working in about 5 different backers during the first half. Hopefully, they will be better when the rotation is finally set. I also expect a couple of guys to see action both ways. We have players who can help in the defensive backfield.
