Guest stircrazy Posted September 9, 2008 Report Posted September 9, 2008 OK, the games are over. Learned a new version of the LBR today. Will not mention the coach or team. Runners on 1st and 3rd after a base hit. Ball thrown to F1, who is 1 step from being in the circle. 3rd base coach hollars for his runner to go to 2nd, No one there. Pitcher enters circle, 3rd base coach again hollars at his runner to go to 2nd, no one there. [2b and SS were near the circle]. R2 [runner on 1st], finally hears the coach and leaves the base headed for 2nd. I am plate watching the trail runner case BU is at 3rd with R1. As soon as R2 steps off the base, I call her out. Offensive coach, "Blue there is no one covering 2nd!" Me, "I know coach, but what's your point?" Again offensive coach, "Blue I am the closest one to 2nd, no one there to take the throw." Me, "Right, and now there is no runner there either." Were these OCG's normal base coaches or their substitutes? ??? It was a good friend of yours. You would have loved doing this and one other of his games. No OCG Coaches involved in this one......This time.. ;D ;D You are correct, it was not a member of the OCG, or any Crush team. Now come own BHBLUE, how come you are always pickin on the shortest coaches in SB. I always say good things about the MEN IN BLUE and PROVIDE all the GATORADE you can DRINK. ;D

Papa Smurf was correct however...F1 was closer than eight' to the mound which I did not realize...she was walking toward the mound. My furstration was not with his call but with my player not paying attention. The comment " I am the closest one to 2nd, no one there to take the throw" was not directed toward him but toward my beautifull wife that felt it was neccesary to correct my coaching. We won that game 9 - 3. ;D
