KFDM COOP Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 What if... Think about a game you played in, or watched, and ask youself...what if.
Bobcatfan4life Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 2003 Area Round: Orangefield vs La Grange at Pasadena Memorial Stadium.... Game is tied at 14 and the Cats have a first and 10 at around the La Grange 10 yard line with just a few minutes left. Common sense says run the ball three times and if you don't get in kick the field goal and you advance to the third round of the playoffs, a place OF has never been. On first down we throw an out route and it is intercepted at the La Grange 3 yard line. The very next play the Leopard QB takes the snap and rolls to his right side, the entire defense goes that way too and he cuts it back to the left and takes it down the far sideline to about the OF 20. They run a few plays and with 3 seconds left kick the game winning field goal to win 17-14. If we had just RAN the ball and kicked, chances are we would have won the game.
KFDM COOP Posted August 11, 2006 Author Report Posted August 11, 2006 Those are the kind of loses that really hurt. :x
Bobcatfan4life Posted August 11, 2006 Report Posted August 11, 2006 I didn't say a word the whole way back home...
KFDM COOP Posted August 11, 2006 Author Report Posted August 11, 2006 What if Hurricane Rita wouldn't have hit, would some teams have had a different outcome on their season record?
Guest Penny Posted August 11, 2006 Report Posted August 11, 2006 The Bay City LB hadn't guessed the snap count to perfection and stuffed J. Ramoin on the last play of the game from inside the 1 yd. Line... Nederland would've likely had a State Championship to go along with it's current run. Instead we get to hear the rest of the area talk about how we haven't won an outright district championship.
kicker Posted August 11, 2006 Report Posted August 11, 2006 What if......we hadnt had the worst turnover game prolly in Mustang history against Silsbee in 98. What if it wasnt raining? What if I wouldnt have fell down kicking that extra point??? There are many things that could be what if. The main thing is that it takes a great person to pick themselves up after a situation and goes on to have a successful college career.
Guest kosmo Posted August 11, 2006 Report Posted August 11, 2006 Big time what if....What if Johnny Dishon hadn't rolled his truck last year? Chew on that for a while. BC will be what iffing that one for a while.

KFDM COOP Posted August 12, 2006 Author Report Posted August 12, 2006 What if Moye was back at Jasper this year? Would they go farther?

The bigger "what if" in that game, to me, is what if Nederland would've just went with a QB sneak inside the 1 yard line instead of a handoff.
cardinal81o7 Posted August 12, 2006 Report Posted August 12, 2006 no lie man before practice let out that night coach tarver talked a few minutes on being carefull and safe and healthy during thanksgiving...i know we would have beaten hutto but cuero would have been tough...i think hutto's line size got them through that...
Guest Kelly Football Posted August 12, 2006 Report Posted August 12, 2006 What if Coach Fuller would have stayed at Lumberton, would things have eventually got better?
SFA85 Posted August 12, 2006 Report Posted August 12, 2006 In '83 we would've made an extra point or kick a successful fieldgoal, or that damn Todd Higganbottom would've jumped offsides while we were driving inside Sweeny's 20 yard line late in the 4th quarter...... We could've gotten our butts handed to us by Dangerfield instead of Sweeny
jdawg03 Posted August 12, 2006 Report Posted August 12, 2006 What if Jasper would have had a Field Goal Kicker...in 2001,2002,2003, and 2004...
Guest Kelly Football Posted August 12, 2006 Report Posted August 12, 2006 What if Kelly started playing all Public Schools? We would be Class 3A.
Guest Living 4 Friday Nights Posted August 12, 2006 Report Posted August 12, 2006 Kelly would do well in 3A. I can remember them giving some 4A schools a hard time a few years back when George Eskew was the head Coach.
KFDM COOP Posted September 26, 2007 Author Report Posted September 26, 2007 What if Jasper would have had a Field Goal Kicker...in 2001,2002,2003, and 2004...
Bucster Posted September 26, 2007 Report Posted September 26, 2007 IFs and BUTs were candy and nuts .... what a party we'd have!
mustang85 Posted September 26, 2007 Report Posted September 26, 2007 What if in the Giddings game last year on the one yard line.... GOTCHA TD and 071904 I will give it a rest for this week, because I am tired of hearing myself be correct.
Guest coch_hound_sugga Posted September 26, 2007 Report Posted September 26, 2007 What if they re-align classifications this year like they projected at Coaching school . What would east-texas districts look like?
BMTSoulja1 Posted September 26, 2007 Report Posted September 26, 2007 What if D. Hall wouldnt' have broken his leg against BH and would have been 100% Vs. Lamarqe last year? State championship for the Jags?
BMTSoulja1 Posted September 26, 2007 Report Posted September 26, 2007 What if we would have went for 2 against Dayton last year? Would we have won?
UKCats Posted September 26, 2007 Report Posted September 26, 2007 What if football had never been invented ? . . .HA HA just kidding
