Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted August 28, 2008 Report Posted August 28, 2008 since oklahoma sucks so much Gov Perry has just ordered our guard troops to move our state above the red river to allow oklahoma to suck the storm in. hope they dont blow it like the bowl games :D :D
baddog Posted August 28, 2008 Report Posted August 28, 2008 COOP,i worked close with F E M A for 18 years and all the classes i had been to on these storms it was said the storms look for strong sterring currents and lowest BMP is this changed are is that still the same sorry for the spelling I usually look for areas of low pressure. Storms take the path of least resistance. A cool front or high pressure over Texas could repel it. That's the extent of my meteorology.
shorttexas1 Posted August 28, 2008 Report Posted August 28, 2008 Man we are in trouble.. With all the hot air the Lumberton blows it will increase strength and come straight for us!
PURPLE 4EVER Posted August 28, 2008 Report Posted August 28, 2008 Man we are in trouble.. With all the hot air the Lumberton blows it will increase strength and come straight for us! Hamshire Fannet might just take care of all that hot air! I got a feeling we might be getting some nice northerly winds early next week while Ray Nagin gets a second crack at Hurricane evacuation planning. Doesn't sound like they are going to let him throw a city wide hurricane party in the super dome. I've read where they will be bussing and using trains to get every one out. Seems like their new governor is on top of things.

KFDM COOP Posted August 29, 2008 Report Posted August 29, 2008 Hopefully that East trend will continue!
skipper Posted August 29, 2008 Author Report Posted August 29, 2008 will this storm stay on track and move in around morgan, city then hug the LA-TX coast line are will it turn more to the east before landfall. boy oh boy this is getting harder and harder for the NHC to pin point
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted August 29, 2008 Report Posted August 29, 2008 anyone see the "hanna" track??
skipper Posted August 29, 2008 Author Report Posted August 29, 2008 i still think this will move a little to the east as it gets in warmer waters and things start to weaken to the north east.
KFDM COOP Posted August 29, 2008 Report Posted August 29, 2008 Problem is the High to the NE may not weaken.
skipper Posted August 29, 2008 Author Report Posted August 29, 2008 if it goes in where thay say we will stay
