I know I kind of hope they go on and start evacuating this weekend.  My parents aren't sure if they will be able to come up this way because of if they evacuate LA.  Have you heard anything about evacuations?  And a nosey question, how are you always "in the know" being in Alaska????  And how bout that governor of yours????  Woo-Hoo!!

any schools besides Lamar closing Tuesday?

If there is a mandatory evacuation on Sunday morning, how are they going to hold any schools in Jefferson County on Monday?

yesterday the NHC were saying the  strongest winds  might be on east side of this storm i sure hope so,when    RITA came in land what was she a 3 are 4 . if eny one would like to ck this out scoot over to the NHC  web page

When it came time for the insurance to pay, though, Rita was merely a thunderstorm.  They didn't want to admit how high the winds got here and how much damage was actually done due to the winds.  Jerks!!!!  Everybody can still get insurance before it gets in the gulf!!!
