GUSTAV HAS CONTINUED TO STRENGTHEN AND NOW HAS MAXIMUM WINDS

NEAR 145 MPH...230 KM/HR WITH HIGHER GUSTS.  THIS MAKES GUSTAV AN

EXTREMELY DANGEROUS CATEGORY FOUR HURRICANE ON THE SAFFIR-SIMPSON

HURRICANE SCALE.  A SPECIAL ADVISORY WILL BE ISSUED AT ABOUT 200 PM

EDT TO MODIFY THE INITIAL AND FORECAST INTENSITIES.  THE SPECIAL

PUBLIC ADVISORY WILL TAKE THE PLACE OF THE INTERMEDIATE PUBLIC

ADVISORY PREVIOUSLY SCHEDULED FOR THAT TIME.

If this is the case, why wasn't "every district game" played after Rita?

I think it's going to depend on when a storm hits and how many weeks available to play before the playoffs start.

Hwy 96 N is hopping right now. Wife just left Pineland and drove to Brookeland and counted  over 300 cars in the 7 miles. It has been flowing like that since noon. Guess i may get in line in the morning but i am going to take the back roads to Center. Last time it took 3.5 hours for the 20 miles of 96 to San Augustine. Everyone take care.

After trying to run from Rita in 05, I've made up my mind.  I'll die in Liberty Co. before I get mugged or shot on a highway in central East Texas.  We left out very late in 05 and made it to about Corrigan before we hit traffic all the way to lufkin.  Then once we got there, the darn thing came right over us.  I had enough of that.  Good luck to all who stay, and good luck to those who go.  In the end, pray, atleast we all have something to lose.  We could have nothing to begin with.
