stangchain Posted August 31, 2008 Report Posted August 31, 2008 I just saw on Fox News that it just started tracking west. Don't know exactly what that means yet.
7mary3 Posted August 31, 2008 Report Posted August 31, 2008 I just saw on Fox News that it just started tracking west. Don't know exactly what that means yet. As of 5:30pm this date the National Weather Service has it going right over the top of Houma, La. and will still track northwest from there. Category 3 and they are saying that it is somewhat not as organized as it was, i'm like yeah right, freakn'cat 3!
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted August 31, 2008 Report Posted August 31, 2008 houma eh? that means its going right over new orleans remember 3 years ago katrina was suppose to hit N.O., it bobbled east hrs before it came ashore.
Gasilla Posted September 1, 2008 Report Posted September 1, 2008 Man, we are not getting anything at all here in Orange. Very little wind and no rain at all so far. Just overcast and a little cooler which is nice. The BBQ place next to Crazy Jose's has been open the whole time. I think we will be heading over there later. For those of you who evacuated, all OC schools as well as Deweyville have canceled school for Tuesday and Wednesday. The rest of the week is pending any damage to this area, which I don't see happening.
KFDM COOP Posted September 1, 2008 Report Posted September 1, 2008 Landfall was near Houma as a cat 2. Hurricane is slowing down as it moves NW. Expect a little more W/NW drift today and tonight. Some of the rain bands could move in tonight and Tuesday from the east with some Tropical Storm force winds likely along with heavy rains with slow moving system.
topgun95 Posted September 1, 2008 Report Posted September 1, 2008 Once again all that's being reported about the storm is all New Orleans! What about Mississippi? Do the news reporters not care what happens to them?
