Castor27 Posted February 2, 2006 Report Posted February 2, 2006 HF, HJ, and OF have virtually no shot at making the football playoffs in that district. That is brutal. 8 teams with 6 playoff teams from the last 2 years.
KFDM COOP Posted February 2, 2006 Author Report Posted February 2, 2006 I had a feeling that was going to happen!!

eastex Posted February 2, 2006 Report Posted February 2, 2006 Yes but it just got tougher. WOS and Bridge City will be tough. Jasper, and Silsbee may have a tough road.
Cat22 Posted February 2, 2006 Report Posted February 2, 2006 Funny how the cutoff fell just right for Buna to go 2A. Makes you wonder!!!
Guest Jody Posted February 2, 2006 Report Posted February 2, 2006 Yes but it just got tougher. WOS and Bridge City will be tough. Jasper' date=' and Silsbee may have a tough road.[/quote'] I can see Bridge City beating WOS in 2006. Minus Beasley, BC should roll over WOS.
Castor27 Posted February 2, 2006 Report Posted February 2, 2006 Buna was at 413 i think Have you noticed Region 1. there is no district 2 in football and for basketball a team can win one district game and go to the playoffs. It is a freaking 4 team district. That is ridiculous.
HubTx Posted February 2, 2006 Report Posted February 2, 2006 Guys if you heard the reasoning for the 4 team districts you would understand.... They did the right thing.... They could have consolidated some of those they said, but for travel purposes it was easier to go with 4 teams.... I like the idea, but it does mean that all you have to do is win 1 game in district to go.... 21-3A is the toughest, but it will be alright....
Guest Orangeboy Posted February 2, 2006 Report Posted February 2, 2006 Well if you like to have high competition, there will no lack of it in the new 21-3A district. In football you have 4 teams that kind of stand alone with: WOS, Jasper, Silsbee, and BC. And in baseball you have two of the top two programs in our region now in the same district in BC and Jasper, leaving the other 6 teams beating each other up just to squeeze in the playoffs. One thing is for sure, whoever makes the playoffs in this district will be well tested.

Some of those trips make the two hour bus trips to Jasper seem like nothing. It just seems to invalidate the playoffs by allowing teams that win one district game to get in.
KFDM COOP Posted February 2, 2006 Author Report Posted February 2, 2006 Not alot of Happy people today!! Jody, BC will not roll over WOS this year, trust me.
Guest Orangeboy Posted February 2, 2006 Report Posted February 2, 2006 Get ready Coop. WOS will be the one sitting out come next football season.
jdawg03 Posted February 2, 2006 Report Posted February 2, 2006 dont think so...im honestly lookin for Jasper to have a very hard time makin the playoffs
KFDM COOP Posted February 2, 2006 Author Report Posted February 2, 2006 Man Charlie took care of Buna! They made 2A by 2 students..
fredh Posted February 2, 2006 Report Posted February 2, 2006 In Hearne we love it. We are going to region 4. We tare in 26AA. Here is our district. Hearne New Waverly Onalaska Somerville Lexington Franklin Trinity Hempstead I was wondering since we have Onalaska, NW, and Trinity in our district if Coop would be covering us now!!! Finally Region 3 AA Marlin, Newton, Mart, PP, and Crawford for football, ouch!!!! Basketball is not any easier. Region 3 is loaded.
Cat22 Posted February 2, 2006 Report Posted February 2, 2006 Man Charlie took care of Buna! They made 2A by 2 students.. He sure did didn't he. Funny that the numbers worked out just right for Buna!!!
jdawg03 Posted February 2, 2006 Report Posted February 2, 2006 how can 21-3a be so good and 22-3a be so weak.... those are gonna make for some UGLY playoffs games in all sports
KFDM COOP Posted February 2, 2006 Author Report Posted February 2, 2006 Yep! Buna needed to be 2A though..
jdawg03 Posted February 2, 2006 Report Posted February 2, 2006 yea its just really hard for me to believe that Buna turning in 413 and the 2a cutoff being 414 is a coincidence....
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted February 2, 2006 Report Posted February 2, 2006 We got Colbert in district play. ITS ON! Run it up Titans!
