STiger85 Posted August 29, 2008 Report Posted August 29, 2008 Shucks. Dang. Aw man. Must have been a good game.
AggiesAreWe Posted August 29, 2008 Report Posted August 29, 2008 The two safeties were the difference. Tigers could have put it away, but fumbled deep in their own end of the field with less than 2 minutes left. Davis scored with just under a minute left. Tiger defense maybe their achilles heel this year. We'll see.
Guest abovetherim Posted August 29, 2008 Report Posted August 29, 2008 Isn't Houston Davis a 4A school?
AggiesAreWe Posted August 29, 2008 Report Posted August 29, 2008 Isn't Houston Davis a 4A school? Yes they are. Went 7-3 last year, just missing the playoffs. I believe they had about 13 starters back.
Lazeek Posted August 29, 2008 Report Posted August 29, 2008 Houston Davis seems to have turned it around from that National Record for longest losing streak......80 games from 1995-2006!!!! Silsbee will be fine!!!!! Remember they play HJ!!! ;D
Kountzer Posted August 30, 2008 Report Posted August 30, 2008 Heard that Silsbee's D-Backs had no clue!!!! You heard right, they didn't have a clue. that was the 1st silsbee football game I've attended in a long time. I work right by delmar stadium and decided to go to the game. it was an entertaining game. The score kept going back and forth. Houston Jeff Davis quarterback John Castillo looked very good. I don't know if he is just that good, or if Silsbee's defensive backs are just that lost. Perhaps it is a combination of the two. It looks to me like silsbee also has some offensive and defensive line problems. Silsbee quarterback Johnson was scrambling on every play. good game just the same. Met a lot of old friends. A Silsbee victory would have been nice, but hey, you can't have everything. DB in NW Houston, aka kountzer
