Homer Posted September 10, 2008 Report Posted September 10, 2008 I just heard a report from impact weather that says someone in Houston did a study of projected paths and landfalls over the last 10 years.Ā In that time frame 74% of the hurricanes have made landfall east of the projected path.Ā Ā NOT GOOD
horndawg Posted September 10, 2008 Report Posted September 10, 2008 It seems to me people are trying to pull this thing into Southeast Texas... just my opinion of course.
Homer Posted September 10, 2008 Report Posted September 10, 2008 I wish I could push the damn thing the other way.Ā Just typing what I heard.Ā Ā :-\
Guest DickVitale Posted September 10, 2008 Report Posted September 10, 2008 It seems to me people are trying to pull this thing into Southeast Texas... just my opinion of course. BINGO! ...You read my mind!

Mc Posted September 10, 2008 Report Posted September 10, 2008 The 6 models shown on Weather Underground landfalls are now all north of Corpus with 3 of them north of Port Lavaca.
horndawg Posted September 10, 2008 Report Posted September 10, 2008 I'm not saying it won't hit here, because it may very well do so (I hope it does not), it's just a waiting game...

badndn Posted September 10, 2008 Report Posted September 10, 2008 Do we listen to the Europeans? They were the closest model for Rita! The only ones forcasting Rita into Galveston. All others had it down around Matagorda Bay. If you look at the Rita Models at 72 hours versus the Ike Models at 72 hours they are eerily similar. Lets hope they don't end up similar!
Homer Posted September 10, 2008 Report Posted September 10, 2008 Did not hear it on the radio, it was on the impact weather website.
