My dad has to stay behind since he's the only electrician for the Vidor ISD maintenance department, so me my mom and my brother are leaving for Dallas at 6 tomorrow morning, right before everything starts happening... Everyone stay safe!

May the Lord be with you and your family and all our SE Texas neighbors who are evacuating or staying behind.

Great Post....I second that, prayers from Fort Worth

I may be incorrect, but I thought I heard it was just Jasper & Newton counties having a mandatory evacuation, not Hardin County.  Come on Hamilton, what's up with that?

Just heard on KJAS in Jasper that Jasper, Newton, and Hardin counties have issued mandatory evac orders as of 9:30 CDT.

I'm in NE Texas in Carthage. If a 20 foot surge comes in,  Port Arthur goes under water, their sea wall is 15 feet. Not sure at this time on how much salt water Mid county would get! Hope everyone stays safe and i'll be on from time to time.

I may have heard it wrong too, but Hardin should be doing the same thing...
