CONGRATULATION BRUINS Actually the 1991 season WB was ranked in the top 5 and I think in 1992 also. I was on the 91 team and I think we were #4.

82 5A State Champs Posted September 2, 2008 Report Posted September 2, 2008 Nope! 5ATexasFootball.com has the Bruins ranked #25. Dave Campbell has the Bruins ranked #12. And the THSCA poll has the Bruins in at #9. These were all pre-season rankings. They might have improved since Week 0! The AP did not have the Bruins ranked in the pre-season, although all the aforementioned polls may have seen the Bruins climb in the rankings after a 43 point win over Beaumont Ozen.

After checking the updated polls, it seems that West Brook had made a jump from #12 to #9 in the Dave Campbell poll. This is the only updated poll I have been able to find. Both seasons ended in the first round of the playoffs at 10-1.
