??? I dont get it. West Brook wins it's season opener in convincing style in a 50-7 victory over Beaumont Ozen, and we go down in the rankings. It's totally bogus if you ask me. These rankings dont mean a thing. >

The AP Poll has not been very kind to Southeast Texas in the larger classifications in the past few years, probably due to the lack of State titles....

I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere else, so if you don't know, that 50-7 win over Ozen ranks as Ozen's biggest margin of defeat in their 10+ year history, surpassing Dayton's 48-6 win over them in 2006.

Rider will beat Ryan by at least 20

Here are my comments on the 4A Rankings involving DFW teams....

1.  Everman should be ranked between 7-10

2.  Dallas Carter should be ranked in the top 5, they are loaded folks

3.  Saginaw and FW Southwest shouldn't even be mentioned...Trust Me!!!

4.  I'm not totally sold on Highland Park, I think they are ranked solely on past

    accomplishments

Brook is ranked higher in the coaches Poll, but the AP poll is a different thing.  This area has always been ranked higher in the coaches poll.  I trust Coaches more than I trust the Press.  Brook plays 3 of the top ten and they looked miles ahead of Lufkin in the game situation scrimmage.  So if they beat NS, Katy, & SW they will have no choice but to rank them!

rankings aint nothing there is no way they see half the teams play the ap never picked wb when they won state every teamed they lay suppose to beat them....

Well, as much as I would love to see that happen(beating NS, Katy, and Westfield), my gut feeling is that it wont. We are a very good team this year, but history has taught me that West Brook has only beaten the teams that they were suppose to beat. The odds are not in our favor. I would love to be proven wrong, but I think we will go 7-3 or even 8-2 in the regular season. Again, I would love to be wrong........we'll see how we look after the Central game.
