Deweyville v. Evadale likely Saturday

Just spoke with Evadale AD/HC Mark Williams and said they will likely play on Saturday. Evadale will hold practice at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, even though they don't return to school until Thursday.

Why is it Deweyville always plays the small schools in preseason,you are not gaining anything by beating a team with 18 players. Why not step up and challenge your team.If you watch Newton,EC,CC they do not choose the push overs in preseason.It pays off in the long run,look at their records.Try a 2a or 3a team an learn where you are at.

I believe that Evadale has over 50 players in their football program. 

Those guys do a good job of getting the players out.

Normally I would agree with you, however, since Coach McDaniel installed a new offense/defense any game is good so the Pirates can work on getting used to the new offense/defense. Evadale has some tough kids, they seem to play the Pirates tough for 4-qtrs.

The Pirates will have to play better if they are going to beat the Rebels. It is always a hard hitting game. If the Pirates play with more discipline they will be fine. The goal is get better every week. Best of luck to the Pirates!

Man with danny reeves coaching the line, aint no one gettin through to stringer..back in his university of Texas days when he played the towel boy position he really learned his stuff..now hes brought that knowledge to the evadale line and they are an unstoppable force..look out deweyville..theyre coming for you
