lhsof23 Posted September 3, 2008 Report Posted September 3, 2008 West Orange-Stark Silsbee Orangefield H-F H-J Bridge City Cleveland Tarkigton Coldspring Huffman Liberty Shepherd Splendora
AFC77 Posted September 3, 2008 Report Posted September 3, 2008 WOS of course, silsbee and maybe BC for 21-3a and 22-3a is liberty coldsprings and im going to say splendora
fisherking Posted September 3, 2008 Report Posted September 3, 2008 Splendora is not in 22 anymore instead Cleveland, Coldspring, huffman WOS, HF, Silsbee Take it to the bank
Bobcatfan4life Posted September 3, 2008 Report Posted September 3, 2008 Here are the teams in each district 21-3A WO-S Silsbee Hamshire-Fannett Orangefield Bridge City Hardin-Jefferson 22-3A Cleveland Coldspring Splendora Huffman Liberty Tarkington Shepherd
fisherking Posted September 3, 2008 Report Posted September 3, 2008 You are right I am sorry for my mistake on Splendora. With this change of information I resubmit my picks for 22 Cleveland, Splendora, Huffman
ilikecupcakes Posted September 4, 2008 Report Posted September 4, 2008 21-3A WO-S Silsbee toss up for third 22-3A Splendora Coldsprings Cleveland
Guest dailynews Posted September 4, 2008 Report Posted September 4, 2008 Hey AFC, the only way Liberty will make the playoffs is if UIL lets everyone in this year. You cannot get beat by Bridge City the first week and expect to contend for a playoff spot. Liberty will be lucky to beat Shepherd and Tarkington in District play much less Cleveland, Coldspring, Huffman and Splendora....
ilikecupcakes Posted September 5, 2008 Report Posted September 5, 2008 my prediction but i think 22 will win a playoff game against 21 this year..... district 21 no longer has a strong third place team to be expected to win against district 22
Guest rykerx144 Posted September 5, 2008 Report Posted September 5, 2008 it dont take much of third place team to beat any of 22's best. You could argue that 21 is possibly the toughest district in the state and 22 is probably the weakest...

You could argue that 21 is possibly the toughest district in the state and 22 is probably the weakest... week 0 scores Cleveland-22 Hardin-Jefferson-0 Splendora-42 Stafford-21 those are 22's two best teams. idk how good huffman will be or who they played last week BUT i think that either one of those two teams could easily contend and/or beat 21's third place team any day since jasper and kirbyville are not in the district anymore BEING that jasper and kirbyville are no longer in the district i think that the strongest district no longer could be 21. still have districts with waco la vega and china spring together and teams like that. wos is the only extremely strong team left
WOS92 Posted September 5, 2008 Report Posted September 5, 2008 In any case, the third-place team from 21-3A can contend with the top team from 22-3A. You can't say that vice-versa. There is no team in 22 that can (on paper) hang with WO-S OR Silsbee. 22 might take out our third-place team, but it will be tough, since that team will have been more battle-tested (in theory) than 22's team.

Harsh words, you might want to add Hamshire to that list, cause they beat liberty almost the same score as Bridge City did ;D
LP1989 Posted September 5, 2008 Report Posted September 5, 2008 21-3A WO-S Silsbee toss up for third 22-3A Liberty Coldsprings-Huffman toss up for second Cleveland
ilikecupcakes Posted September 6, 2008 Report Posted September 6, 2008 well, liberty will NOT win district. thats for sure. and the only game im considering 22 MIGHT win, will for sure be able to CONTEND in though, is their 1st place against 21's 3rd place. wos and silsbee will both DOMINATE first round
swoop-swap4 Posted September 6, 2008 Report Posted September 6, 2008 i hate to rain on district 21-3A parade but we have to face the facts this aint the 90's no more this district is average. district 22-3A is no power district but i will say this you better watch out for cleveland they have lots of returning players back and are clicking very well together right now. I will say this if they get a chance at silsbee or WOS it will be a game. just watch and see. ;D
Guest rykerx144 Posted September 6, 2008 Report Posted September 6, 2008 i agree cleveland and the rest of 22 are getting more respect but WOS and Silsbee come on!!!!!
swoop-swap4 Posted September 6, 2008 Report Posted September 6, 2008 i will say this Cleveland has the same if not better athletes than silsbee and WOS this year and the next two years. I just dont see how the golden triangle thinks they do so much in football when they go two rounds and get bet out every year.
HFfan5 Posted September 6, 2008 Report Posted September 6, 2008 Atleast we make it 2 and 3 rounds deep we have stomped 22-3a the last few years in the first round when yall can show up in the first round then you can say stuff about 21-3a
swoop-swap4 Posted September 6, 2008 Report Posted September 6, 2008 Last year we gave kirbyville a scare this year we are going at least three rounds.
Guest etbu Posted September 6, 2008 Report Posted September 6, 2008 Last year we gave kirbyville a scare this year we are going at least three rounds. I hope you right bc our district needs to get some wins come playoff time.
ilikecupcakes Posted September 6, 2008 Report Posted September 6, 2008 HA! three rounds?? not cleveland..... the kirbyville game was kirbyvilles first wet game of the year. ALOT of fumbles kirbyville had control of the game the entire game though really. they also probably were looking ahead to the next week against a good caldwell team since they had already SHUT OUT cleveland IN cleveland
swoop-swap4 Posted September 6, 2008 Report Posted September 6, 2008 If you think kirbyville had control of that game i am going to let you think that. But i think we know the truth. Cleveland brought the helment that night then off slowed the ball down and just ran the clock.
Guest red_cardinal Posted September 6, 2008 Report Posted September 6, 2008 It seems like every post I look at Mr SwoopSwap is posting something. He sure does love those Indians. They started off 2-0 and you might think they made it to the quarterfinals. We saw what you did vs a SE Tx team like HJ but in a few weeks we will see how you do vs LCM. It will end up just like your two games vs another SE Tx team last year. You remember those Kirbyville Wildcats dont you.
