Shepherd Pirates vs. Hardin Hornets moved to Thursday 9-11

The Hardin Hornets will be hosting the Shepherd Pirates for their Homecoming. I'm not sure if this will be a easy win for the Hornets but I'm not sure if Hardin has beat Shepherd before. Should be an interesting matchup.

Hardin's gonna take this one. After Shephard's 60-0 loss friday night ;D I don't see them making progress in this game. Especially since the Hornets will be pumped up and gettin ready all week to take the win on homecoming.

Not sure but IMHO it helps take away all the distraction of all the festivities and such that come along with homecoming.  Some players don't stay as focused during this game.

Hardin has always seemed to have trouble with Shepherd, but this is homecoming and they'll be pumped up. Hardin by two touchdowns.

i'm sure hardin picked this game as their homecoming because this is the worse team they play this year! most people pick the team they are sure to beat for a homecoming game. they don't wanna play it during district because their only home games are against anahuac, kountze, and buna....it only makes since, who wants to lose their homecoming game?

shepherd is no where near the team they were when they beat hardin in 04-05 and 05-06.  That shepherd team wouldve been in the playoffs had they not been in a district with Jasper, Silsbee and Kirbyville.  Hardin cant overlook this game and let themselves get distracted due to homecoming, hardin should win though

BUSHPILOT you need to quit dreaming HARDIN is going to struggle this year.  Those kids look sharp and good, but lack focus.  As a fan of highschool football, i hope they can WAKE UP and get back on track.  Sleepers last year, this year teams have their eyes wide open!!!

I will go ahead and take Shepherd In this one.  They put up 350 yards total O against Magnolia West had 6 turnovers and lost by 14.  They got the crap beat out of them by Caldwell.  Should be a good game.  Hardin lost to Hull then beat Tarkington by 14.  I expect Hardin to be more like M.W. and Caldwell may beat the crap out of a lot of people this year.  Good Luck Pirates.
