I heard that Vidor vs HJ got moved to Thursday... And that came from the GF of one of the players...

I heard Vidor was also playing St. Annes???  Any truth to that??  St. Annes is supposed to be pretty strong this year for a 6th grade team.  And the way Vidor handled Kelly and St. Thomas, they should not have a problem with St. Annes.  The only problem they might have is if they keep shootin' the finger at the opposing team's fans, but it's never stopped them before.

Hurricane Ike concerns have forced several high school football coaches to reschedule games from Friday to Thursday, but the status of games for Beaumont ISD’s three teams remains unclear.

West Brook, Central and Ozen all play Houston area schools, which makes rescheduling more difficult, West Brook coach Craig Stump said.

Stump said West Brook will either play or cancel its 7 p.m. Friday home game against Spring Westfield. The game cannot be moved to Thursday because of travel concerns, he said.

Central is scheduled to play Friday at home against Galveston Ball and Ozen is scheduled for Saturday at Houston Worthing.

Schools close together can more easily reschedule games because there is less travel, Stump said.

Port Neches-Groves coach Matt Burnett said his team’s game at Texas City is pushed back a week to Sept. 19. Memorial’s home game against Houston Nimitz is still set for Friday.

As for games moved to Thursday, here’s an updated schedule:

Nederland at Waller, 6 p.m.

Houston Furr at Kelly, 6 p.m.

Vidor at Hardin-Jefferson, 6 p.m.

West Orange-Stark at Kirbyville, 6 p.m.

Orangefield at Liberty, 6:30 p.m.

Tarkington at Buna, 6:30 p.m.

Cypress Christian at Legacy, 7 p.m.

Hamshire-Fannett at East Chambers, 7 p.m.

Shepherd at Hardin, 7 p.m.

Coldspring at Corrigan-Camden, 7:30 p.m.

Hemphill at Deweyville, 7:30 p.m.

Kipp Academy at High Island, 7:30 p.m.

Little Cypress-Mauriceville at Bridge City, 7:30 p.m.

Lumberton at Silsbee, 7:30 p.m.

Newton at Diboll, 7:30 p.m.

Woodville at Warren, 7:30 p.m.

Still set for Friday:

Shelbyville at Mount Enterprise, 7:30 p.m.

Wow a Vidor hater something new! The good thing is now Nederland has to face Kelly. Now we will see how strong they are. I predict Kelly takes this by 3.
