trophyman Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 im sure this is a thought in every softball parents mind ?
mjones830 Posted September 9, 2008 Report Posted September 9, 2008 Well, since I’ve paid $1,842,764 on my daughter and she is only 14 years old. I would be more than glad to pay an extra $20.00 to $40.00 to watch professionals play. For me it would be more entertaining than watching a bunch of overpaid men playing in the majors.
Guest stircrazy Posted September 9, 2008 Report Posted September 9, 2008 Texas had a pro team several years ago based out of Houston. They played their 1st year at UH and then at the Field of Dreams . The attendence was poor and they moved up north. We brought several groups to see them play and the girls really loved it. They sat and watched the whole game and loved it.
JohnnyT60 Posted September 9, 2008 Report Posted September 9, 2008 I saw them play in Houston. Pretty good softball. I believe Kim Nesloney played CF and made some incredible catches. The speed of both teams was very impressive
Guest stircrazy Posted September 9, 2008 Report Posted September 9, 2008 Our 12U USFA Nationals Bmt Blast team was introduced before the game individually and got to go on the field for the national anthem. Cat O. thru out the first pitch and there was 7 Olympic players between the 2 teams. They signed autographs forever. Bustos hit a HR and played 3rd base. She is the quickest big women I think I have ever seen.
youknow Posted September 11, 2008 Report Posted September 11, 2008 From what I have encountered with Bustos the few times that our girls have been around her, is that she a really nice lady with a great sense of humor. She truely loves the game and does alot of charity work. It just goes to show you what type of ladies that softball is producing.
